An X (formerly Twitter) user, Damilola Made, questioned Yvonne’s ability to play the role so convincingly, tweeting:
“Abeg I get one very important question to ask @iamyvonnejegede. So you don do ashawo before you start acting because tell me how you acted that ashawo role so perfectly?”

“I just woke up, picked up my phone, and this is what I saw. Immediately, I saw my name and saw ‘ashawo,’ sleep cleared from my eyes. I thought, ‘I don commit again.’ Thanks for the review. Thinline is an all-round beautiful story; make it a date.”
