Multi-award-winning megastar Wizkid has kicked off 2024 by releasing his highly anticipated new single, marking the beginning of his ‘Morayo’ era.
On September 17, 2024, Wizkid announced on social media his collaboration with American R&B sensation Brent Faiyaz on the track titled ‘Pieces of My Heart’, set to drop on Friday, September 20.
This release comes as fans celebrate the 10th anniversary of Wizkid’s iconic sophomore album ‘Ayo’, which featured the global hit ‘Ojuelegba’, a song that helped propel Nigerian music to the international stage.
‘Pieces of My Heart’ will be Wizkid’s first single of 2024, following guest appearances on DJ Tunez’s ‘Apala Disco’ remix and Shenseea’s ‘Work Me Out’. The new song marks the start of the ‘Morayo’ era, Wizkid’s highly anticipated sixth album, a tribute to his late mother, whom he lost in 2023.
Wizkid has described ‘Morayo’ as his best work yet, with the Brent Faiyaz collaboration offering fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
