The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD, GCON, has appointed Comrade Yusuf Mutiu Olaitan as a Senior Legislative Aide.
The appointment was announced on Thursday in a statement made available to newsmen by Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya, member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, who facilitated the appointment.
According to Shagaya, “This prestigious appointment reflects not only the solid and productive working relationship between my office and the Rt. Hon. Speaker but also recognition of Comrade Mutiu’s dedication and contributions.”
Comrade Yusuf Mutiu Olaitan is a renowned sports connoisseur with deep insight into football, volleyball, athletics, and other leisure sports. He possesses extensive experience in sports strategy, analysis, communication, and coaching.
He has established a proven record in sports promotion, journalism, and content creation—where his passion for sports blends seamlessly with his analytical skill.
Mutiu is also the Convener of Play With Kwara Youths (PWKY), an initiative widely recognized as the largest non-political youth convergence in Kwara State. The platform promotes unity, togetherness, and love among young people through a variety of indoor and outdoor games.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
