National Association of Nigerian Students, Kwara Axis has demanded justice for one of its members who was reportedly killed by men of Nigerian Police Force.

In a statement signed by the Secretary General of the Association, Comrade Ahmed Adnan, he warned that the association would mobilize its members and ‘escalate’ the situation if the culprit who murdered the Kwara state Polytechnic student isn’t fished out immediately.

“It is with deep shock that we received the news of the sudden death of one of our students from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin. This tragic incident, we have been told, occurred during a police pursuit in the Ilorin metropolis.”

“We vehemently condemn the actions of the Nigerian police on this matter. The police must identify the officers involved in this ignominious incident and ensure they are held accountable. Failure to do so will compel Nigerian students to escalate this matter beyond expectations,” the statement said.

He, however, urged members of the association to remain calm and resolute and promised that the association is on top of the game.

“I urge all Nigerian students to remain calm and not take matters into their own hands. Rest assured, the union is fully engaged with this situation and will tirelessly advocate for the rights and justice of our dear student.”
