Ahead of the 2024/2025 NPFL season, Plateau United’s Technical Adviser, Mbwas Mangut, has expressed concerns about his team’s preparedness. Despite a 2-0 win over Barau FC in the Gusau/Ahlan Preseason Tournament, Mangut believes his side requires more fitness and coordination to excel in the upcoming season.

Speaking to newsmen, Mangut attributed the team’s lack of readiness to setbacks in their preparations, including delays caused by national protests over hardship in the land. He warned that such delays can have far-reaching consequences, impacting player performance and team morale.

Mangut, who led Plateau United to a 5th-place finish last season with 53 goals, is seeking a better outcome in the upcoming NPFL season.
