Nigerian rapper Phyno, born Chibuzor Azubike Nelson, recently addressed backlash for including Hushpuppi, the convicted internet fraudster, in his new album Full Time Job. The collaboration, which signifies an end to Phyno and Hushpuppi’s past feud, features Hushpuppi delivering motivational quotes on the track Nwoke Esike, sparking online reactions.

One X user, @Temmyt_Official, questioned the decision: “I still don’t understand what Phyno was trying to do on that track by bringing Hushpuppi to ‘motivate’ us.” Phyno, clearly frustrated, replied, “Go and sleep if u no sabi game!!! If Young Thug or El Chapo talk for song now you go rush first play am…ngwere isi red!”

The collaboration is notable as it closes a chapter between the two, who previously clashed in 2017 after Phyno criticized Hushpuppi’s lavish displays on social media. Phyno’s album also features British rappers Chip, Arrdee, NSG, and Nigerian artists like Burna Boy, Johnny Drille, Cheque, Fave, and Flavour.

Full Time Job includes tracks like It’s Nothing, Back Outside, Time Of My Life, Eyes On Dem, Nwayo Nwayo, and Sweet Karma.

Hushpuppi, who is currently serving an 11-year sentence in the U.S. for money laundering, joins the album’s diverse roster.
