P-Square’s ‘E No Easy’ perfect for 2024’s hardships — AdekunleGold

Award-winning Afropop singer Adekunle Gold has humorously remarked that this year, marked by significant economic struggles, would have been the ideal time for the now-defunct duo P-Square to release their 2009 hit song, E No Easy. The song, which reflects the challenges of life, feels especially relevant amid the current hardships, according to Gold.

Taking to his Snapchat page, the artist shared his sentiments about the song’s timeless message. “Na this year P-Square suppose sing E No Easy,” he wrote. “Make them feature me, make I express my feelings for verse 3.” His playful comment underscores the frustration many are feeling about the economy.

E No Easy was originally released as part of P-Square’s Danger album in 2009 and featured producer J. Martins. The song’s influence extended internationally, with a 2012 bilingual French/English remake titled Positif by Matt Houston featuring P-Square, which became a hit in France.

P-Square, comprising brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, first split in 2017 to pursue solo careers. Although they briefly reconciled in November 2021, their reunion did not last, and both continue to focus on their individual musical endeavors.
