Nollywood star Osas Ighodaro has announced an exciting new movie collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy.
Speaking on a podcast, the actress unveiled details about the project, titled 3 Cold Dishes, which is an adventure film featuring dialogue in English, Yoruba, and French.
“It’s an adventure film where we speak English, Yoruba, and French. We are going through French-speaking countries from Nigeria to Côte d’Ivoire to Benin. I love it. We have Wale Ojo in it, we have myself and actresses from Côte d’Ivoire. I am also a producer on the project as well as Burna Boy. I’m so proud of this film,” Ighodaro shared.
The film is set to release in the first quarter of 2025 and marks Burna Boy’s debut in Nollywood, sparking curiosity among fans eager to see the Afrobeat icon in a new creative role.
Known for her versatility and award-winning performances in Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story and Man of God, Osas Ighodaro continues to dominate the industry as a leading figure. She was Nollywood’s highest-grossing actress in 2018 and won Best Actress in a Drama at the 2022 and 2023 AMVCA awards.
The movie, co-produced by Ighodaro and Burna Boy, explores themes of revenge, though its full synopsis remains under wraps. This collaboration highlights a growing trend in Nollywood, where cross-industry partnerships are redefining storytelling and attracting global audiences.
