According to reports, Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede and Rangers International head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu have been appointed as Super Eagles Assistant Coaches.
Ogunmodede and Ilechukwu will serve as assistants to Interim Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguaveon for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda. This development comes after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Bruno Labbadia failed to reach an agreement, leading to the Technical Director taking charge of the Super Eagles for the upcoming qualifying matches.
Ilechukwu, who led Rangers to win the 2023/2024 NPFL, joins his fellow NPFL colleague, Daniel Ogunmodede, in the Super Eagles coaching crew. The appointments aim to strengthen the team’s technical bench ahead of the crucial qualifying matches.
