NFF set to unveil new coach today

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to announce the new head coach of the Flying Eagles today, Tuesday. A top official of the federation, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed this on Monday while speaking with BSNSPORTS. The official also said that the team’s camping for the U20 WAFU B qualifier will begin promptly, ahead of the upcoming regional tournament.

“The head coach of the Flying Eagles will be announced on Tuesday, the NFF egghead said.

“And the federation has scheduled early camping to resume soon for better performance.

He further stated, “The NFF is doing everything in making sure that Nigeria qualify for the CAF U20 African Nations Cup and to achieve this, we must perform well and pick the ticket from the WAFU B championship. To this end, the Flying Eagles will enjoy early preparation ahead of the 2024 WAFU B U20 men’s competition which will start in October, 2024.”

The city of Lome, Togo, will host the WAFU B U20 qualifiers from October 17 to 31, 2024. The prestigious tournament brings together national teams from Zone B of the West African Football Union, competing for the coveted WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship title. Nigeria currently holds the championship title.

The participating countries from WAFU Zone B include Nigeria, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Benin Republic, all vying for glory in this exciting football event.
