Senator Ali Ndume, the former Senate Leader, has urged the newly appointed Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, to urgently seek forgiveness from Vice President Kashim Shettima.
It was contained in a statement made available to the newsmen yesterday. Ndume commended President Tinubu for demonstrating magnanimity and inclusiveness through Bwala’s appointment, describing the gesture as a rare display of leadership with a large heart.
“I wish to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Daniel Bwala as his Special Adviser on Public Communication and Media. This gesture deserves serious applause, particularly in view of the roles played by Bwala in the recent past,” Ndume stated.
Ndume, who represents Bwala’s senatorial district, advised the appointee to work closely with Vice President Shettima to promote the “Renewed Hope” agenda of Tinubu’s administration.
“You should work with the Vice President closely as your second principal to promote the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President,” he said.
Ndume also urged Bwala to emulate long-time Tinubu allies such as Sunday Dare, Bayo Onanuga, Hadiza Bala Usman, and Nuhu Ribadu, noting their effective and respectful communication of government policies.
“These individuals defend and market Tinubu’s policies backed by facts and figures without being abusive or offensive. Bwala should adopt a similar approach,” he added.
