February 4th, 2026

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has again declined any form of public celebration to mark his birthday, his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, has said.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Ajakaye said the governor continues to observe his birthday like any other normal day, a personal decision he has upheld since assuming office in 2019.

“Members of the public are again notified that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq spends his birthday like every other day of his life — no drums, no trumpets,” the statement said.

The CPS added that the governor has not authorised any individual, group, or organisation to organise or hold celebrations on his behalf.

“He has, therefore, not authorised any celebrations in that regard,” Ajakaye stated.

The statement noted that the governor remains thankful to God for the blessings of life and good health.

“The Governor, like every servant of God, is immensely grateful to his Maker and Sustainer for the precious gift of life, good health, and other favours,” the statement added.
