Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has responded to a Twitter (now X) user who attempted to body shame her after she shared a video of herself dancing at the gym.
On September 17, 2024, Kate Henshaw posted a lively video with the caption, “Energy never lies… No matter what, never lose your joy… Have a truly lovely day my authentic X family.” While many fans praised her energy and positivity, one troll, identified as Oluwabukola, commented on her figure, saying, “Flat yansh. Aunty Kate, this your to match gym outfits ehnnn. Give me some now.”
The comment, perceived as a backhanded insult, sparked backlash from Henshaw’s supporters. One follower criticized the troll for being disrespectful and urged her to apologize. In response, Henshaw acknowledged the support but dismissed the need for an apology, replying, “She knew what she did… I don’t need her apology.”
The exchange continued with more followers condemning the troll’s remark, leading the user to delete the original comment. Henshaw, unfazed, kept the mood light by adding, “Leave am abeg, make she carry her yansh dey go front mbok.”
The brief exchange highlighted both Henshaw’s resilience and her refusal to be affected by negativity online. Despite the body-shaming comment, she maintained her composure and handled the situation with grace, showing that she’s unbothered by attempts to bring her down.
