Within his first 100 days in office, Hon. Benjamin Jolayemi has demonstrated a strong commitment to the development of Isin Local Government by initiating and executing impactful projects across various sectors. These achievements underline his dedication to improving infrastructure, boosting agriculture, and enhancing security within the local government area.
Hon. Jolayemi highlights his commitment to safe movement of his people to the nature of his community which is Agrarian. The infrastructural development and upgrade across various towns in Isin Local Government isn’t limited to road upgrade, investment in livestock to generate revenue for the Local Government, building of important edifices, community engagement, education intervention and scholarship are what characterized Jolayemi’s administration since he’s assumed office.
Key Projects and Achievements:
1. Renovation of Abandoned Legislative Building:
Hon. Jolayemi’s administration has successfully renovated the once-abandoned Legislative Building, restoring it to full functionality for effective governance and administrative duties.
2. Renovation of Local Government Staff Quarters:
To ensure better living conditions for staff, the local government staff quarters have been rehabilitated, showcasing the chairman’s dedication to staff welfare.
3. Agriculture Development
The council has ventured into livestock farming with a pilot project of 200 birds, which are now ready for the market during the festive period.
A pig pen has also been constructed to support pig rearing, with operations set to commence in January. These initiatives aim to promote food security and economic growth.
4. Road Infrastructure:
Several roads have been regraded to improve accessibility and connectivity within the LGA. Key roads include:
Owu Township Ring Road in Owu Isin.
Iji-Isin to Oke-Oyi Road.
Edidi to Alla township Road.
Oke Onigbin to Oyegbo settlement.
Oke Onigbin to Adigun road
These projects will enhance transportation and boost local economic activities.
5. Strengthening Security:
To ensure the safety and security of residents, Hon. Jolayemi’s administration has provided motorcycles to security personnel within the LGA. This initiative aims to strengthen surveillance and response capabilities.
6. For smooth movements and efficiency, the administration of Hon. Benjamin have also repaired and refurbished 6 operational cars meant for the staff of Isin Local Government Area. The refurbished cars have since been put into appropriate use.
7. Water provision and intervention: Since the beginning of his administration, Hon. Jolayemi has repaired over 25 boreholes across Isin Local Government, the borehole repair have saved so many communities from the cry of no access to water, while efforts are still being made to provide more access to portable water in Isin Local Government.
