The Chairman of Kwara United Football Club, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, has expressed satisfaction with the club’s performance during the first stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). He commended the team, which comprises mostly young players, many of whom are making their debut in the league.

Kumbi, speaking with journalists on Wednesday at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin, during the presentation of the Abdul Momoh Ambassadorial Award of Recognition by Abdul Momoh Photography, emphasized the need to improve in the second round.

“We need to score more goals in the second round to challenge the contenders, and we are working towards achieving that,” Kumbi remarked. “We are not relenting in achieving our set target for the season. With 20 league games remaining, including outstanding fixtures, we are confident of meeting our goals.”

As a North Central representative on the NPFL board, Kumbi expressed heartfelt gratitude to Abdul Momoh for the recognition. He pledged to continue contributing to grassroots football development and acknowledged the critical support from various stakeholders, including Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara Sports Commission led by Mallam Bola Magaji, the Football Association, security agencies, media, medical teams, and others.

Kumbi urged all stakeholders to sustain their support for Kwara United as the team prepares for the challenges ahead in the second round of the league.
