Award-winning cinematographer and music producer, ThankGod Omori, known as TG Omori, recently shared an update on his health, revealing that he is recovering after a failed kidney transplant. On Friday, August 30th, Omori announced that he has been healing from the complications following the transplant surgery.

While expressing his gratitude, Omori mentioned, “I’m up and grateful, O Lord. (Sadly, I can’t backflip.) Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes.”

Despite the setback, he remains optimistic about his recovery and is determined to continue fighting for his health. “I’m healing now from the stitches of the failed one. I’ll continue the fight. I’ve been on it for the past year or two, and I can’t back down now,” he added.

Omori also expressed his appreciation for the overwhelming support from his fans and shared his eagerness to get back to work. “Love you all so much. Can’t wait to create new, crowded music videos for you all,” he wrote on his X account.

Recall that it has previously been reported that Omori underwent a failed kidney transplant after his brother donated a kidney in an effort to improve Omori’s condition. On Wednesday, Omori revealed that he had faced a challenging period, having already been through three surgeries. He asked for prayers from his supporters, saying, “One year after my kidney failed, I just had a failed transplant at St Nicolas Hospital Lagos. Pray for me.”

He also shared a heartfelt moment about his brother’s sacrifice: “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again.” Despite the setbacks, TG Omori remains hopeful and determined to overcome his health challenges.
