Former Minister of Environment, Mrs. Lawrencia Mallam, has urged women to get involved in politics as she accused men of running down the country by looting public funds.
She spoke on Sunday at a sensitization seminar organized by the Dignity of Women Commission, St. John’s Catholic Church, Kaduna on the theme: “Women participation in politics and guide for direction”, she lamented that the situation in the country had pushed the youths into trafficking, domestic abuse, kidnapping, among other vices.
She said, “We are just beginning to know the truth and we must be very serious about this. God willing, we shall succeed.
“The drivers of the economy are 95% men. We all know that women are better managers; look at the homes, give a woman little milk, she will cater for her family very well.
