Top European football scouts, led by renowned Czech Republic scout Tomaz Bahnik, will arrive Ilorin, Kwara State, for a six-day scouting program at the Lower Niger Basin playing ground from October 24-28, 2024.

According to ARABA FC Team Manager, Femi Oki, a retired footballer, this initiative offers local players a unique opportunity to showcase their talents and impress Tomaz Bahnik, who has connections with top European clubs.

Tomaz Bahnik’s expertise has previously facilitated the transfer of Nigerian players Ayobami Onatola Jnr and Solabi Olabode to European teams. This scouting exercise aims to replicate such successes and foster partnership between ARABA FC and European clubs.

The event is open to invited footballers across Nigeria, providing a platform for them to gain international exposure. Key stakeholders in Nigerian football have been invited to witness the talent showcase.

ARABA FC President, Ms. Simi Sanni, emphasized that this scouting program will introduce the club to modern football standards and create opportunities for players in the state to go professional. Tomaz Bahnik’s involvement is expected to elevate ARABA FC’s profile and create a pathway for talented Nigerian players to European leagues.
