Chris Brown breaks records, sells out 95,000 seats Africa’s biggest stadium in two hours

Grammy-winning artist Chris Brown has sold out South Africa’s FNB Stadium, the largest stadium in Africa with a 95,000-seat capacity, in just two hours. The tickets, which went on sale on September 10, 2024, were quickly scooped up by eager fans ahead of his December performance as part of his 11:11 tour.

This remarkable feat underscores Brown’s global superstar status and his massive following, particularly in Africa. The South African concert is one of many sell-out shows during his 11:11 tour, with a recent success in São Paulo, Brazil.

Brown, known for his affinity for African music, has collaborated with several Nigerian artists, including Davido on the global hit Under The Influence, as well as Wizkid, Lojay, and Fireboy. His contributions to African music were recognized when he won a Headies Award, further solidifying his influence on the continent’s mainstream sound.

Nigerian superstar Ayra Starr, who has been an opening act for his 11:11 tour, has excited fans eager to see which African stars will join Chris Brown on stage at the highly anticipated South African concert.
