Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface, has reassured his fans that he’s doing well after surviving a horrific car crash on Saturday night.
The Nigerian star had earlier scored the winning goal in Leverkusen’s 2-1 Bundesliga victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, his fifth goal this season, propelling the team to fourth place.
On his verified X handle, Boniface shared images of himself and his damaged car, writing “God is the greatest”
Fortunately, Boniface appears to have escaped serious injury, despite the severe damage to his car.
As a precaution, he may miss Bayer Leverkusen’s UEFA Champions League match against Brest on Wednesday. However, with Czech Republic star Patrik Schick on the bench, the team is well-equipped to cope without him.
Bayer Leverkusen will need to be cautious, though, as Brest has won their first two Champions League games, scoring six goals against Austrian clubs.
Boniface is expected to make a full recovery and return to action by next week.
