Nigerian socialite and self-proclaimed relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has shared her prison experience, describing it as surprisingly comfortable. In a conversation with media personality Daddy Freeze, Blessing recounted how, during her time in prison, she had access to luxurious meals and was even able to use a phone for transfers and social media, despite official restrictions.
Blessing, who was incarcerated in March 2023 on charges of cyberbullying related to her support of the late Bimbo Ogbonna and her husband, Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD), explained that inmates could buy expensive meals from prison-owned restaurants while also having access to regular prison food. She revealed that prisoners could make phone calls through a phone booth, but phones were officially prohibited.
However, Blessing admitted that some wardens would secretly allow access to phones. She humorously shared an incident where, after being given her phone to make a transfer, she went on Instagram to post a photo, which caused a stir online.
“After two days in prison, I needed to make a transfer, so I begged one of the wardens. She gave me my phone, and I posted on Instagram, not knowing I was trending,” she said.
Blessing was released in April 2023, but her prison experience continues to draw attention due to her candid recounting of life behind bars.
