Bello Turji’s days are numbered, he’ll be killed soon, Zamfara Gov vows

 

Dauda Lawal, Governor of Zamfara state has promised that the terrorism act currently bedeviling the state and its environs being orchestrated by the notorious bandit kingpin, Bello Turji, will soon be a thing of the past.

 

Governor Dauda revealed this while appearing on Channels Television’s P Today on Monday where he was asked about how soon the bandit leader will be caught.

 

He expressed optimism that Turnj will soon be nabbed or neutralized by the troops.

 

“With what we have in place, with the collaboration between us (the state government) and the Federal Government, security agencies, believe me, it is only a matter of time; Turji would be killed very, very soon,” he said.

 

It has earlier been reported that the military gained momentum in the fight against bandits after the elimination of wanted bandit leader Halilu Sabubu, who had been a menace for people Zamfara, Sokoto and other neighboring states. Sabubu was killed last week alongside 30 other bandits.

 

Recall that Sububu and more than 30 other bandits were killed last week.
