On September 22, 2024, Asake achieved a monumental feat by selling out the O2 Arena for the second time.

As part of his world tour following the release of his third album, Lungu Boy, Asake headlined several prominent venues, including the iconic O2 Arena. During the landmark concert, he electrified the audience with performances of his chart-topping singles, along with new tracks from Lungu Boy.

Among the notable attendees were Grammy winner Wizkid and acclaimed actor Idris Elba, who presented Asake with a sold-out plaque and a BRIT silver plaque for his previous album, Work of Art.

This latest achievement places Asake alongside Afrobeats heavyweights Davido and Wizkid, becoming one of the few Nigerian artists to sell out the 20,000 capacity O2 Arena more than once. Asake’s first sold-out show at the venue took place in 2023, following the release of Work of Art, a milestone that marked his rapid global rise.

The O2 Arena has become a significant venue for celebrating the global ascension of Afrobeats. In 2018, Davido made history as the first Nigerian solo artist to headline the O2 Arena, followed by Wizkid, who headlined the venue in 2019 and returned for three consecutive sold-out nights in 2021.
