Nigerian international Anthony Ujah has thrown his weight behind Austin Eguavoen to become the permanent head coach of the Super Eagles. Ujah expressed his support during an interview with Brila FM radio in Lagos.
Eguavoen, currently the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, led the team during the initial stages of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
“The team is in a transitional phase, moving from coach José Peseiro to finding a new coach.
“Eguavoen as the interim manager is one thing I’m really happy about.
” l don’t know how long he’ll be there, but he’s a good man, and the players respect him”, he said
