13 people have been reportedly dead in a road accident on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Friday.
Kabir Nadabo, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), made this known in Kaduna.
He confirmed that those who died from the accident had been moved to St Gerrard’s Hospital, while three survivors were immediately transported to AP Smart Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
Nadabo urges drivers to always observe the requisite speed limits while on the road.
“The road traffic crash occurred near Olam Farm on Kaduna-Abuja Highway about 3 p.m. when a Toyota Hiace marked GTG 96YA carrying 11 persons collided with a Golf Salon marked RBC 369XE with five passengers.”
“As we enter the ‘ember season fully, motorists are reminded of the need to adhere to basic safety ethics while traveling,” he said.
“FRSC is committed to ensuring the roads are safe for all users.
“The Corps extends its sincere gratitude to the Kaduna State Government for the continuous support in FRSC activities,” Nadabo confirmed.
