PDP yet to receive Adeleke’s resignation letter — Turaki

December 3rd, 2025

The factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Turaki, has stated that the party has yet to receive official notice from the governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke about his resignation from the party.

Yesterday, InsideKwara reported that Adeleke resigned his membership of the PDP, hinging his reason on crisis rocking the party.

Turaki made this known while speaking to newsmen after the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja, stating that the resignation was just seen on social media, and the party hasn’t received any official letter from him as regards resignation.

“We have seen online a letter said to be from him resigning from our party, but I tell you that we have not, up to this moment, received any formal indication that he has left,” Turaki said.

“As far as we are concerned, even if the letter circulating online is genuine, Gov. Adeleke, like any Nigerian, has the freedom to associate as he wishes,” Turaki added.
