The Damilola Wale Aremu Charitable Foundation (DWAC) was officially launched Saturday, August 16, 2025 in Kwara State, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s mission to empower youth and drive sustainable community development.
Founded by a philanthropist and youth advocate Mrs. Damilola Wale Aremu, DWAC aims to provide educational support, skills acquisition programs, and mentorship opportunities to underprivileged young people across Kwara and beyond. The foundation seeks to bridge the gap in youth unemployment and foster economic growth through targeted initiatives.
At the launch event, held at the Banquet Hall opposite Government House in Ilorin, stakeholders, community leaders, and beneficiaries gathered to witness the unveiling of DWAC’s vision. In her keynote address, Aremu emphasized the urgent need for collaborative efforts in tackling youth unemployment and poverty.

“Our youth are the future, yet many lack access to quality education and vocational training. DWAC is committed to changing this narrative by equipping young people with the tools they need to thrive,” Damilola stated.

The foundation has already outlined key projects, including scholarship schemes, entrepreneurship training, and partnerships with local businesses to create job opportunities. DWAC is calling on government agencies, private sector players, and well-meaning individuals to support its initiatives through funding, mentorship, and advocacy.
The Damilola Wale Aremu Charitable Foundation (DWAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to youth empowerment, education, and community development. Through strategic programs and partnerships, DWAC strives to create a brighter future for Nigeria’s next generation.
