The lawmaker representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has donated two million naira and food items to the victims of recent fire incidents in Alore and Ita-Amodu areas in Ilorin, Kwara State.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Senator’s media assistant, Nasif Sholagberu.
According to the statement, the senator donated food items, including rice, garri, beans, palm oil, and groundnut oil, along with 1 million naira to the victims of the Alore and Ita-Amodu fire incidents, respectively.
While presenting the donation, Senator Saliu Mustapha, who was represented by Alhaji Shuaib Ambali, explained that the donations were meant to mitigate the suffering of the fire disaster victims.
He said that the plight of the victims is of great concern to him and assured them of his continued support.
Appreciating the Senator on behalf of the Alaparun family in Alore, Engr. Mashood Saayi said, “We are truly thankful to Senator Saliu Mustapha for his kind gesture. What he has done for us today means a lot. It shows that he is genuinely concerned about us and our well-being. We appreciate his continuous support and pray that God continues to bless and guide him in his efforts to serve the people.”
On his part, Alhaji Musa Bilewu, Mogaji of Ile Bilewu in Ita-Amodu area, commended Senator Mustapha for his prompt support.
He described the Senator as a distinguished public officeholder who, even before assuming office, had been doing a lot of great things for the people.
Alhaji Bilewu prayed to Almighty Allah to continue blessing Senator Mustapha with good health, wisdom and success in all his endeavors.
