Nollywood actor and politician Desmond Elliot has publicly addressed longstanding rumors about his sexual orientation, firmly denying claims that he is gay. Speaking as a guest on TVC News, Elliot dismissed the allegations as baseless and explained that he does not feel obligated to respond to them.
“Why would I respond to allegations against me when it did not reduce or increase my life?” he questioned, adding that his focus remains on impacting people positively. Elliot clarified that while he respects individuals’ freedom to identify as they wish, he identifies as straight, stating, “You can never have anyone straighter than me.”
Elliot went on to emphasize the importance of respecting others while living within the bounds of the law: “If you feel you identify as something, as long as it’s within the law, people don’t have to accept it. Do you.”
The actor-turned-politician concluded by asserting that, while he remains unbothered by public speculation, he encourages everyone to live authentically while respecting others’ boundaries.
