Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has expressed frustration over Nigerians’ resilience in the face of ongoing economic difficulties, especially following the recent fuel price increase.
The actor took to social media to share his disbelief at how Nigerians continue to adapt and survive, no matter how challenging the situation becomes.
In a video shared on Snapchat, Remi revealed his shock after spending N98,000 to fill the tank of his car, emphasizing how difficult the new reality has become. He remarked, “I have not recovered, by the way, but I have realized that no matter how prices hike up, no matter what happens, you will always still see traffic, there will always be traffic.”
Referencing the late Fela Kuti’s famous song, the actor added, “Fela sang it: ‘suffering and smiling.’ We complain and do nothing about it. Welcome to Nigeria.”
Remi’s comments reflect the growing frustrations of many Nigerians who are grappling with the economic strain, yet continue to persevere despite the hardships.
