Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has once again voiced his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, encouraging Nigerians to remain patient amidst the ongoing economic difficulties, including the recent fuel price hike.
In an Instagram post on October 11, 2024, Edochie shared a message of hope, accompanied by a picture of himself in his well-known outfit bearing Tinubu’s face. He wrote, “It will be well with our country. It’s a difficult time in Nigeria. Many are angry and losing patience. But I believe things will change positively soon. Good things take time to mature. Certain good policies take time to yield results. Let’s be patient. I believe in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and I believe He will fix Nigeria.”
Despite his optimistic outlook, Edochie’s post was met with criticism from his followers, who expressed frustration with his continued support of the president. One user commented, “Try Dey keep quiet. I know you’re trying so hard to stay relevant. Go and put on a ring light and dance with Judy.”
Another questioned his stance, writing, “They told us the youth are the leaders of tomorrow. But Yul is saying that a great-grandfather will fix Nigeria? How?”
Many users shared similar sentiments, with one suggesting Edochie should be reported, sarcastically remarking, “Report just came in now that someone just got out of his cage. I think we need to get him back to the cage as soon as possible.”
Despite the backlash, Edochie has remained a staunch supporter of Tinubu and continues to face criticism for his unwavering political stance.
