Nigerian singer and former Mo’Hits star, Dr Sid, has officially confirmed his move to the United States, following a growing trend of Nigerian entertainers seeking new opportunities abroad. He joins fellow artist Banky W, who made a similar move in September.

During an appearance on Garrett Van Tiem’s No Man’s Friend podcast, the Over the Moon hitmaker revealed that a job offer from a New York-based company was the key factor behind his decision to relocate.

“I now live in the US. I left Nigeria last year after I was offered a job by a company in New York that allowed me to live anywhere in the States. Since I have family in Houston and my best friend lives there, it was an easy choice,” Dr Sid explained.

The 44-year-old shared that he has been living and working in the U.S. for over a year, focusing on various projects, including gaming tournaments, game development, and education training. “I’m currently in the entrepreneurial business strategy phase, where I take ideas and transform them into thriving businesses.”

In addition to his tech ventures, Dr Sid also mentioned he is working on his second film, with the script nearing completion.
