Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya, member, representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal constituency, on Tuesday empowered farmers in his constituency with NPK fertilizers and spraying cans.
The distribution program was held at Muktar Shagaya campaign office, Unity Road, Ilorin.
Beneficiaries of the farm instruments were drawn from All Farmer Association of Nigeria, AFAN, in Ilorin West and Asa Local Government, groups and individuals who are confirmed to be farmers also benefited from the empowerment.
Dr. Abdullahi, LA to Hon. Shagaya, who represented Shagaya at the program, while speaking to newsmen highlighted that the program shows the commitment of Honorable Shagaya to Agriculture.
“Hon. Shagaya knows how critical the agriculture sector is to our nation and this empowerment program shows how committed we are to the sector.
“We urge the beneficiaries to not even think of selling what they have benefited because it’s our belief that what they will gain if they put all they have benefited into good use, they will not only amass gains, they would also be helping the country going forward” he concluded.
