Controversial singer Habib Okikiola, better known as Portable, has offered words of advice to crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, urging him not to take his own life but to repent and seek God’s forgiveness.
This came after Bobrisky revealed on Thursday that he had been battling suicidal thoughts due to the intense backlash following an audio leak by social media activist VeryDarkMan. The leaked audio suggested that Bobrisky allegedly bribed EFCC officials with ₦15 million to avoid serving a six-month sentence in Kirikiri prison.
Bobrisky took to social media to express the mental and emotional toll the controversy has taken on him, admitting that he was contemplating suicide due to the relentless pressure.
Reacting to the situation, Portable, in an Instagram post, implored Bobrisky to reject the idea of suicide, encouraging him to instead change his ways and repent. The “Zazoo Zeh” singer emphasized that seeking divine forgiveness was essential for Bobrisky’s well-being and personal redemption.
“Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. Damn it to any sinner that does not repent. If you die, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you. God does not want a sinner to die,” Portable stated.
He continued, “Help me tell Bobrisky to ask God for forgiveness. All Bobrisky needs is to ask God for forgiveness of sin. What Bobrisky is facing now, if he repents, he will enjoy the world. But if he does not repent, he’ll end up in hell fire.”
Portable’s comments came as part of a growing public reaction to the ongoing controversy surrounding Bobrisky and the leaked allegations.
