In a recent interview, renowned Nigerian music producer ID Cabasa shed light on why he believes Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy, stands out as one of the sharpest minds in Nigerian music .
ID Cabasa praised Don Jazzy’s strategic decision to collaborate with skit creators, describing it as a brilliant move that has earned him unwavering support from Nigeria’s content creation community.
“What Don Jazzy did is connect with them (content creators) so that anytime he drops, all of them will post,” ID Cabasa remarked, emphasizing the impact of Don Jazzy’s alliances with skitmakers.
During a panel discussion, ID Cabasa encouraged emerging artists to follow Don Jazzy’s example by collaborating with content creators who can boost their visibility and expand their audience reach.
He also cited Kizz Daniel as a superstar who has successfully built strong relationships with content creators. Reflecting on his own career, ID Cabasa noted, “I work a lot with Gen Z because they are full of inspiration while people from my set have experience,” highlighting his openness to working with younger creatives.
