This November, the Lagos International Theatre Festival (LITF) will make its grand debut, spearheaded by renowned theatre director and producer Bolanle Austen-Peters. In partnership with Lagos State, the festival will showcase a global lineup of creative talents and promote excellence in Nigeria’s theatre scene.
Austen-Peters, alongside key sponsors like First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Dorman Long Engineering, Amstel Malta, and the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, is set to establish LITF as a major cultural event.
“The creative industry is at the heart of every nation that thrives, and Nigeria is especially blessed with imaginative creativity and abundant talents,” Austen-Peters shared.
“It is important for us to provide a platform where our creatives can explore, tell our stories, and export our positive philosophies and values to the world. This is why we are launching the Lagos International Theatre Festival.” she concluded
Scheduled for November 15 to 17, 2024, the festival will be held at key cultural venues across Lagos, including the National Theatre, Terra Kulture, Muson Centre, and John Randle Centre. Audiences can expect a diverse array of performances, ranging from musicals and skits, to stage drama, celebrating rich
African culture and storytelling.
