Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, has called on the Federal Government to come to the aid of the victims of Borno flood victims to assuage their sufferings.
Obi made the statement in a post via his X handle, he expressed sadness over the loss of lives and disruption of activities in Maiduguri due to the flood.
He said, “I am deeply saddened by the multiple loss of lives and disruption of activities in Maiduguri, Borno state capital which has just been hit by a devastating flood disaster.
“It is heartbreaking to think about the families who have been bereaved or torn apart, the homes that have been destroyed, and the livelihoods that have been ruined.
“In times like these together as a nation, we must support each other. I urge the federal and state governments to do everything within their powers to provide aid and relief to those affected by this natural disaster.”
