Benue State House of Assembly has approved Six billion, Six hundred and forty four Million seven hundred and seventy eight thousand, nine hundred naira, N6,644,778,900 for the running of local government polls.
The Assembly made the approval on Wednesday during the plenary led by the Honorable Speaker of the House, Hyacinth Dajoh.
Benue State governor, Hyacinth Alia had sent a correspondence to the Assembly which was read of the floor of the house by the Speaker sought for the approval of the Supplementary Budget for the conduct of the Local government polls slated for October 5th.
The Supplementary Budget was reported to reflect Governor Alia’s commitment towards hitch-free and fair elections for Benue State.
