The Peoples Democratic Party, Kogi State chapter, has labelled Senator Dino Melaye as a burden to the party.
Ibrahim Dansofo led Peoples Democratic Party elders forum in Kogi State has also asked the local government executive in Inumu to work on the process of suspending against the former lawmaker.
The PDP elders believe a suspension to Dino will bring sanity and restore the party’s integrity.
This was on the back of an allegation by Dino Melaye, when he said the party’s national chairman, Iliya Damagum, Umar Bature and Samuel Anyanwu have destroyed the party.
The party also said Sen. Melaye’s political career is long gone that he couldn’t even win a councillor position for himself.
“Senator Melaye has become a burden to the party.
“His accusations against the current leadership are hypocritical, as he himself was granted a governorship ticket despite the party’s awareness of his inability to win even a primary election,” Dansofo said.
