Captain William Ekong, Olaoluwa Aina, Victor Osimhen, and Taiwo Awoniyi are among the players recalled to the Super Eagles for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda. Ekong, who was injured, and Aina, Awoniyi, and Osimhen, who were all sidelined due to injuries, are now fit and ready to return to action.
The 23-man squad includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders, and seven forwards. Other notable returnees include Stanley Nwabali, Amas Obasogie, Olisa Ndah, and Taiwo Awoniyi.
The Super Eagles will face Benin Republic on September 7th at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo and then travel to Kigali to play Rwanda on September 10th at the Amahoro Stadium. All players are expected to report to camp in Uyo on September 2nd.
